Welcome to the next release of Invid.au
We are excited to share the latest Invid.au release with the community.
This update includes several bug fixes, platform improvements, new competition features, notification upgrades, and early groundwork for upcoming systems. Thank you to everyone who has submitted feedback and reported issues. We cannot keep improving the platform without your support.
What is included in this release?
Bug fixes and platform improvements
We have rolled out several more bug fixes based on community feedback. Every report helps us improve Invid.au, so thank you to everyone who took the time to submit issues and suggestions.
Competition page updates
Our Competition page now includes an Include Ended Seasons option, making it easier to browse past seasons and view competition history.
We have also introduced a new Game Category filter on the competitions page to better separate games and make it easier to find the competitions you are interested in.
Login abuse controls
We have added new login abuse protections, including reCAPTCHA after multiple failed login attempts. This helps protect user accounts and improves overall platform security.
Discord notification support
Discord notifications are now available for all notification types for users who have logged in and connected Discord through their account integration settings.
This improvement was inspired by feedback from our recent 1v1 tournament, where some players found it difficult to keep track of who they were playing next. With Discord notifications, it should be much easier to stay updated on matches, tournaments, and platform activity.
Withdrawal system progress
Our withdrawal system is close to completion. Once released, it will make it easier for users to withdraw funds from their Invid.au account.
We are currently waiting on final approval from PayPal before this can go live.
Admin updates
We have made several admin improvements, including a new Banned badge on user profiles. This helps users clearly identify accounts that have been banned from the platform.
New open ladder format
We have introduced a new open ladder format.
This is a free for all format designed for users who want to play when they choose, compete across a longer season, and stay active while paid or more serious ladders are being prepared.
Open ladders will begin rolling out over the coming days and weeks.
Community Servers section
Our new Community Servers section is in its final stages and will be released soon.
This feature will let users track, browse, and find their favourite dedicated servers for their game of choice.
Typing notifications and organisations
Typing notifications and organisations have also been rolled out as part of this release.
What is coming next?
Achievements dashboard refresh
Your Achievements dashboard will be receiving a refresh soon.
This update will include 13 new achievements, along with achievement icons from our design team to make the page feel more complete and rewarding.
Tournament following improvements
The Follow Tournament button will also be getting new functionality.
At the moment, users can follow a tournament, but there is not much additional value beyond that. We will be updating this feature to include better notifications and tournament information, helping you stay across the competitions you care about.
Thank you
As always, thank you to everyone who continues to support Invid.au, report bugs, test new features, and help shape the future of the platform.
